Rail Depot Operations
Hills M&E was heavily involved with planning and managing the overhaul of London Transport Jubilee line fleet, with a team of Engineers and Project Managers. We offer a range of experience-driven rail depot operation services from planning and budgeting to managing entire engineering projects.
Specialising in sourcing, leading and managing key teams, managing outside suppliers and implementing KPIs/auditing and reporting. Our team are experts in Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulation (RVAR) and have extensive experience managing depot operation projects.
Rolling Stock Management
Our team has a comprehensive background in commissioning fleets of EMU and DMU units. Preparing them for sale for various train operators including Southeastern, Southern C2C, Transport for London and Transport for Wales.
We specialise in conducting pre-sale inspections, analysing downloaded dynamic data and compiling sale packs for each prepared unit. Hills M&E coordinates, directs and supervises team members through the whole application, demonstrating industry-leading technical expertise as class-leading people and project management across the rail industry.
Overhaul and New Rail Projects
Hills M&E is currently responsible for a range of overhaul projects, managing budgets and creating comprehensive spend and actual reports for the executive.
We manage engineering and quality issues arising from refurb and refit projects with experience including the heavy overhaul. This includes bogies, compressors and primary and secondary suspension/couplers. We ensure safety, smooth interface between depot service requirements and the project team.
